Floating markets
That same tour started off with Cai Rang market pitstop and also included a brief go at another one which was probably Phong Dien. At that time there were almost no boats in there.
As for Cai Rang, the experience was not bad, and it would have been ok if we were just there for sightseeing. The thing was, we wanted to get some shots, as well, and the opportunities weren’t that many. So, we decided to go back on our own, and that proved, by far, to be the best way.
It was a 20 min ride from our hotel. On arrival, we crossed the bridge and parked just underneath.
There was some sort of booker for boat tours, and we negotiated one with a small sampan boat, where a nice lady paddled calmly along the market, while also sharing some delicacies on sale.
I cannot remember the price, but it was a small fraction of what we payed for the previous tour. Both were worthwhile experiences. Pick the one which suits you best!
