NIHIOKA Nihiwatu, Sumba, Indonesia

The whole spa area seen from the beach on an early afternoon with a sort of “postcard” look. It ain’t hard to imagine a whole day in between the beach, the pool, and the treatments and massages.

For this “postcard” look I used HDR, but on a higher shutter speed (the 0EV picture was shot at 1/500 and it’s usually over exposed, so the one actually used for the sea should have been a little more). Then, strong deghosting on post made the sea look sharp and froze its movement (since there is where most of the whites are, in the frame), while the rest, which didn’t need HDR anyway, was kept sharp and natural.
